John Kroll manages the firm’s tax and real estate development practice. He has worked extensively on business activity, franchise and sales and use taxes in addition to real estate development projects throughout the United States. Mr. Kroll has appeared as an invited expert on tax issues before members of Congress, the National Conference of State Legislatures and regularly provides testimony before the Texas Legislature.

John has represented a variety of local and national clients before the Texas Legislature over the past two decades. He has extensive experience in tax incentive and project development finance.  He holds an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council and has conducted site selection, tax incentive and project financing for small and large projects throughout the United States. Kroll creates special financing districts at the local and state level for a variety of commercial and residential real estate development projects. John also developed an economic and fiscal impact model for suburban and rural projects that is has been used by multiple organizations throughout the United States. He has secured millions of local and state tax incentives for his private sector clients. 

Mr. Kroll lives with his family in Dripping Springs, Texas, where he is a 5th generation resident.  He is a graduate of the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University where he received degrees in Finance and Economics. Mr. Kroll served as a member of the Dripping Springs City Council for 8 years and on the Board of the Greater San Marcos Partnership economic development organization for 4 years. He is an active member of the Texas Economic Development Council, the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Lyceum for 7 years.
