Anthony Haley provides strategic advice to businesses, nonprofits, and local governments. Haley has worked for 32 years in leading roles at the Texas Capitol. He has worked for Republicans and Democrats in the House, Senate, and Supreme Court. Haley began his practice in 2000 and founded HMWK in 2004. His diverse practice includes the areas of health care, judiciary and civil jurisprudence, energy, transportation, human services, urban affairs, economic development, tourism, and gaming.

Prior to public affairs consulting, Haley worked as Vice President for University Relations at Texas Southern University. Anthony has served as Chief of Staff to State Senator Rodney Ellis. Supreme Court Chief Justice Tom Phillips appointed Haley as Director of the Texas Commission on Judicial Efficiency under the chairmanship of Baylor University Chancellor Dr. Herbert Reynolds. He served as Director of a joint House-Senate select committee. Haley began his political career in the House as Representative Garnet Coleman’s Chief of Staff.

Haley was an Adjunct Professor at Texas Tech University School of Law, where he taught courses on the legislative process. He guest lectures at the Bush School of Government and Public Service. Anthony has served on the faculty of the UT School of Law Advanced Texas Administrative Law Seminar. Haley is a Director on the Board of the Center for Civic and Public Policy Improvement. He served as Secretary of the Board of Central Health (Travis County Healthcare District). Haley is a past Board member for KLRU-TV, New Milestones Foundation, SIMS Foundation, Central Texas African American Family Support Conference, and Regarding Cancer.

He is blessed to be the father of two children.
